Hudson setup on CentOS

I was trying to setup Hudson on a CentOS server and I ran into a problem with OpenJDK not working with the captcha when registering users.

So I stumbled on my Joe’s article Configuring a Production Open BlueDragon Server. As a side note and I were in the same Pascal programming class in high school.

Internal Externals in SVN and Distributed Builds in Hudson

Here’s a nice explanation on setting up externals withing a repository. And here’s a nice review of Cruise Control vs Hudson. One feature of Hudson which I want to check out is distributed builds.

Hudson is cool

I tried Hudson and it seems easier than CruiseControl. So far it looks like it doesn’t have as many plugins (like phing) as CruisControl. That seems ok since I ended up maintaining the config.xml with CruiseControl and this way everyone can create projects. Hudson has quite a few plugins already.
