Tivo Server

With help from Engadget I was able to upgrade my Tivo to server video from my PC. I applied the Superpatch on my Tivo and installed the the TivoServer on my PC. I was able to “record” one movie from my laptop. Next I’m going to wire it up to my home network and setup GoToMyDVR.

Potato Peels

My father-in-law plugged his kitchen sink by putting a bunch of potato peels down the drain and when the plumber came out to unclog things he said it was time for a new disposal so I installed an InSinkErator Evolution Essential. Now I think he’s putting stuff down there for fun. It’s really quiet.

My wife has been using Bill My Clients for a couple a months and loves it. No more paper invoices! She hasn’t setup electronic payments via Paypal yet so her clients are still sending her checks, but it still saves a lot of time
